Our Services

Our service exists to enable people over 18 with physical disabilities or health problems to live independently in their own homes and within the community, by offering them an alternative choice from residential or hospital care when they need help and support.

Flexibility

Everybody’s needs, abilities and choices are different, so our service is flexible, to meet the needs of each individual person; the service we provide is matched to meet your requirements and choices, as well as our ability to meet those needs and preferences with the staff available at that time.

Care Plan

Before we begin providing a service we asses your needs and undertake any training if its highlights any risks involved in meeting those needs. We will agree with you how your package will be carried out and this is written up in a care plan.

Services we provide

The list below indicates the type of services we are able to provide. Some of the tasks may be carried out routinely while others will be subjected to consideration as may need specialist training. We are always willing to adapt the services we offer to suit each individual requirements.

Golden Services provides caring services for:

  • People with dementia
  • The elderly
  • People with learning disabilities
  • People with physical disabilities
  • People who have mental health problems
  • Anyone who is housebound as a result of illness or hospitalization

Care Planning

We create a care plan for all of our clients. This is the document which sets out the services we will provide and we take a great deal of care to ensure that we put the right plan in place for each of our clients. The plan is drawn up in consultation with the client, their relatives and health care and social services professionals. It is based on an assessment of risk and of the needs and preferences of the client.

The care plan gives the home carers the information they need to carry out the tasks agreed. We make every effort to accommodate all of your needs and our staff are always willing to go the extra mile for their clients. There may be occasions, however, where a home carer can’t carry out a task which is not in the care plan unless authorized to do so.

We review every care plan regularly to ensure that our clients continue to receive the service which best fits their needs. We also carry out a review whenever the client’s circumstances change.

Designing an individual care plan for a client usually involves the following steps:

  1. Initial contact from the client, a relative or professional services
  2. Informal meeting with client and relatives to discuss needs and taking into account budget available
  3. Consultation with health and social service professionals if any are involved in the client’s care
  4. Drawing up and agreement of the care plan with the client and their relatives
